January/February 2017 Vol. 19 No. 1

From the Desk of Donna Barna,

Chamber Chairwoman

Another amazing chamber year has just come to an end. On behalf of myself, the

board of directors, and the chamber team, we would like to wish our families,

friends, and most importantly our chamber members a Happy, Healthy and

Prosperous New Year! We filled our 2016 chamber year with so many different

ways to bring our community together and promote our area. This past year our

Chamber has coordinated well over 120 events, including, Networking Mixers,

Ribbon Cuttings, Women¡¯s Networking Events, our Annual Funfest Celebration, Job

Fair, Tastes of Hazleton, Golf Tournaments and, our Annual Executive Business

Exposition and Dinner, to mention a few. The Red Carpet Breakfasts, that give our

community an opportunity to meet and listen to our local legislators. Let¡¯s not

forget all the many educational seminars and trainings on issues that face our

business¡¯ today. These are only a few highlights of how the Chamber is working for

you and what your membership brings to Greater Hazleton. Our ¡°member to member discount¡± program gives our members special offers at participating chamber

members business¡¯. The Downtown First Friday events have been bringing our community together as

well. It makes my heart happy to see our downtown beginning to bustle again.
