• Subsistence Expense Allowance example assumes a per diem lodging portion of $224 and M&IE portion of $69 (using GSA’s FY17 rates for Washington, D.C. from March through June). The D.C. lodging portion varies with the time of year.
• Transitional Separate Maintenance Allowance example assumes a per diem lodging portion of $91 and M&IE portion of $51 (using GSA’s FY17 rates for Standard CONUS rate).
• No special family composition calculations were included in these examples.
