❑ Learn about your interests, skills, and areas of strength –

Clark College offers the Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator and the Strong Interest Inventory career assessments to assist you in making a career choice. They are available to students and community members and are valuable tools to use when affirming your career direction or deciding which careers to explore.

➢ Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)–

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is the most widely used measure of personality type and preferences.

The MBTI identifies and describes your strengths and unique preferences and helps you to answer the questions: "What would I enjoy doing?" and "How can I use my strengths to reach my career goal?"

➢ Strong Interest Inventory (SII) –

The Strong Interest Inventory (Strong) measures patterns of interest and suggests compatible career areas to explore. Career suggestions are based on interest, not skill level or physical ability. The Strong identifies what you most enjoy doing by comparing your responses to those answers given by people who really love their jobs (in 122 different fields).

❑ Cost –

The cost for each assessment is $20 for current students and $30 for non-students and includes scoring, a printed career report and a 90-minute, small group interpretation with a career advisor. Purchase your assessment at the Clark College Cashier's Office, and then visit the Career Center in the Penguin Union Building (PUB) room 002, to receive further instruction. You may also call the Career Center at 360-992-2155 to pay over the phone by credit card and request instructions via email, and sign up for your group interpretation. Assessments are completed online either in the Career Center or off campus.

❑ Results –

Upon completing the assessment, you will receive your results at a small group interpretation session. Please see the quarterly schedule, below, and sign up to attend by calling 360-992-2155 or visit the Career Center at PUB 002. Assessments should be completed at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled group interpretation.
