highly transferable set of skills that can be applied to all sectors. The reason they are so popular is that they are so important, helping to keep businesses running efficiently and profitably, and keep staff and customers happy.

Apprentice-

Business Administration Level 2

This is ideal for somebody new to the sector or with little corporate administration experience. It will give you the building blocks to progress. Your learning will include:

How to communicate in a business environment

Managing your personal performance and development

Developing working relationships with colleagues

The principles of providing administrative support and services

Business document production and information management

Understanding employer organisations

Business Administrator Level 3

A business administrator is expected to deliver their responsibilities efficiently and effectively. You will need to demonstrate strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and adopt a proactive approach. You will manage priorities, use problem solving skills and make decisions to support your team. Your learning will include:

Use of multiple IT packages and systems and the ability to accurately produce documents

How to effectively make decisions and deal with challenges

Understanding the importance of building and maintaining positive relationships within your team and across your organisation

Demonstrate good communication skills across all platforms

How to plan, manage and prioritise your workload

How to lead on projects and carefully plan the required resources

What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal requirements to apply to do this apprenticeship, however you will be required to work within an office support function. Good communication skills, organisational skills and a `can do' attitude are desirable. We will meet with you to understand your existing knowledge, skills and behaviours and make sure the training meets your individual needs

How will I be trained?

You will have a dedicated skills coach to support you throughout your training and work with you to develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours. They will also deliver your Functional skills, support you to complete at least 20% of professional development (off the job training) and prepare you for your end point assessment. The end point assessment is an independent review of your learning journey and could include a project, professional discussion, observation or presentation.

The training all takes place in your workplace and on average the training lasts up to 18 months.
