Virtual School

CCSD, the School Board, has made the decision to have all schools operate virtually for the first

semester (through December 2020). The School Board also mandated a 4 x 4 schedule for

middle schools ¨C meaning, that students will get 4 full year courses in the Fall and 4 more full

year courses in the Spring.

When schools closed on an emergency basis in March, we all hoped to be back in person in

August. Unfortunately, that is not an option at this time.

We want to assure parents and students that this Fall, school will look very different than it did

last spring! Teachers are working hard to develop digital lesson plans that students can access

from home and there will be an expectation of daily participation in the online lessons.

Students will be learning and engaging in their full schedule of classes just like they would if we

were back on campus, only adjusted to be online.

Virtual School

Because we have been mandated to be on a 4 x 4 schedule, students will take 4 full classes

in the Fall, and 4 full classes in the Spring.

Because they are taking 8 full classes, we added 2 classes to every 6th grade student's

schedule.

All 6th and 7th grade students have Fundamentals of Math and STEM Beginner - These

classes will be taught by the same teacher at the same level as the Spring classes of Math 6

and Science 6. This was done to ensure all Becker MS students have a full year of math,

science, & ELA.

8th grade schedule depend on elective choices.
