It was hard for me to read the Spanish part but the students loved it and especially the ELL learners were paying attention and laughed. They reactions showed me that they actually understood what the book was about. The students enjoyed the story and were able to identify the main character of the book. A lot of them participated in making the circle map and all students made their own individual circle map successfully. The two sentences were the task some students struggled with. Some students could not remember how to write their sight words or did not understand the sentence structure. Overall I think the lesson went quite well. My mentor teacher and me were surprised however about how many students could not write their sight words they have already learned. The sentences were challenging but not too hard. The students enjoyed the lessons and especially ELL learners had a lot of fun. ................
