Mental Health Specialist II for Assertive Community Treatment Team:

Mental Health Program (Classification 772)

SEIU Represented Full Time (37.5 hours/week) position

Linn County Mental health is recruiting for a therapist to work on the Assertive Community Treatment Team. Must be willing to work as part of an interdisciplinary team and follow documentation requirements in accordance with the Oregon Administrative Rules and department policies and procedures. ACT is a strength based fidelity treatment program supporting people with mental illness in the community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provide services and supports, such as individual and group therapy, that lessen or eliminate the debilitating symptoms of mental illness and minimize or prevent acute episodes of the illness

• Promote recovery principles, dignity, hope, and well-being

• Foster community integration and encourage use of natural supports

• Help individuals to establish economic self-sufficiency and housing stability

• Provide co-occuring mental illness and substance abuse treatment

• Provide ongoing assessment of consumers’ substance use status and provide stage-wise individual and group interventions both in the office and in the community

• Conduct comprehensive assessments annually and update as needed

• Assume primary responsibility for developing, writing, implementing, and revising service plans annually and update as consumer’s recovery needs change

• Other job duties related to Assertive Community Treatment Team may include working with Community Support Services Team, Psychiatric Security Review Board, Rental Assistance Services and other related program services

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to pass a criminal history check and possess a valid Oregon drivers' license. Bilingual Spanish skills a plus. License in social work (LCSW), counseling (LPC), or family therapy (LMFT). Requires successful completion of a Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, and counseling or in a related field, two years’ experience AND Oregon professional licensure is required.

SALARY, BENEFITS, COMPENSATION:

Current salary range and total compensation (depending on qualifications):

Applicants who do not meet the licensure requirements above are encouraged to apply and may be considered at a lower classification depending on qualifications. Applicants who are not licensed or are in process of becoming a Licensed Therapist, must register with The Mental Health and Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) within 30 days of employment.

Linn County Mental Health is a HPSA approved site. Licensed professionals are eligible for loan repayment assistance and are encouraged to apply through the National Health Service Corps.

SALARY RANGE: $4243 - $5416 Month with LPC, LCSW, or LMFT

$3851 - $4913 Month without LCP, LCSW, or LMFT
