The course is also designed to prepare students with the depth of knowledge that is required for them to go on to studies in AP Biology, AP Chemistry, or any of the other upper level science courses offered at Appoquinimink High School.Students should have demonstrated a strong grasp of the principles in their previous science classes and should possess a strong work ethic in terms of completing assignments on time and working well in groups. Aside from the considerable body of knowledge that has to be learned, science is a process of problem solving and discovery. Labs will help reinforce the discovery aspects of the course and students will learn to accumulate and evaluate scientific data.Outline of Course Topics:Chemistry Topics Reference Text: A Natural Approach to Chemistry.
