IEF Scholarship Application
2009-2010 Academic Year
Deadline: April 30, 2009
The Illinois Education Foundation scholarship program awards last dollar scholarships covering the educational expenses required to attend community college, in addition to many affiliated schools and programs. This program is designed to give students the funds that make being a full-time student possible, in addition to the financial aid for which they qualify.
More importantly, IEF Scholars will participate in a program that includes one-on-one advising and mentoring, seminars and educational supports designed to provide a successful college experience. The number of scholarship recipients will be based on available funds.
Before completing the application, make sure that you are eligible for the IEF Scholarship. If all of the statements below are true, you are eligible.

I will have a high school diploma or G.E.D. by June 2009.
I am eligible for in-district tuition rates.
I will disclose any prior police record and I understand this will not necessarily disqualify me from consideration.
I will be a full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours) if accepted into the program.
I am in pursuit of my first college degree.
I have applied to and will attend a community college that partners with the IEF.*
* The IEF partners with the City Colleges of Chicago, McHenry County College, Prairie State College, and South Suburban College.
