Greg is currently the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning at Woodridge School District 68 in Woodridge, Illinois, a suburb 30 miles west of Chicago.  As an educator in the Chicagoland area for over 20 years, Greg is passionate about developing opportunities for all students to succeed as well as finding ways for all teachers and staff members to utilize their strengths to maximize the learning of each and every child with whom they interact with on a daily basis.

In addition to his work in Woodridge, Greg is an adjunct professor in the College of Graduate and Innovate Programs at Concordia University Chicago where he instructs graduate and doctoral students on the utilization of research based instructional methods to strengthen classroom practice.

Greg also consults throughout the United States on a variety of subjects which include but are not limited to: adult learning, implementation of Response to Intervention/Instruction, developing innovative practices in the classroom to engage all learners, formative assessment and teacher’s use of formative assessment to drive instruction, data usage for school improvement, action research and research in education.

Greg is currently in the process of writing his first book, “D.R.I.V.E. Learning: A High Impact Instructional Framework to enable All Students to Exceed Their Personal Best”.

Previous to that, I was appointed to the new position of Director of Assessment and Initiatives on July 1, 2008 after spending 5 years as principal of Edgewood Elementary School (also in Woodridge).

My wife, Lynn, and I live in Oswego, Illinois with our daughter, Maddie, age 9, and son Jack, age 7.
