Position: Lead Teacher

Location: Chaparral, New Mexico

Monday-Friday, Non-exempt, 40 Hours/Week with Benefits

Position Reports to:   Area Coordinator

Duties: (Other duties may be assigned)

• Plan, prepare, and develop classroom curriculum and carry out all classroom activities which includes supervision of children and working with families

• Responsible for the overall health, safety, quality of care and education for children, record-keeping and reporting.

• Overall management and oversight of the licensed facility and its’ staff, children, parents, and community served.

• Supervise, mentor, assist and train center staff accordingly.

• Adheres and maintains all federal, state, and agency program standards at the center level.

Qualifications

▪ A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field or a Child Development Associate (CDA) or New Mexico Child Development Certificate (NM-CDC)

▪ A minimum of two-years’ experience in an early childhood setting

▪ Experience in coordination of services, management of space and supervisory

▪ Current Driver’s License, First Aid/CPR certifications

▪ Proficiency in basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
