In this presentation, Ms. Ye will provide an introduction to the origin and evolution of Chinese calligraphy and its profound impact on Chinese culture.

She will also give a cursive calligraphy performance.

Jiayi Ye is pursuing a Master’s Degree in the Visual Art of Calligraphy in East China Normal University, Shanghai. She has practiced Chinese calligraphy since the age of six. Her calligraphy works have been featured in numerous municipal and national exhibitions, and she held her first solo calligraphy exhibition at the age of eighteen. Ms. Ye is both an artist and a scholar, focusing on the history and aesthetics of calligraphy.
