First it was the dancing fountain 250 meters long at west Lake. It was a sight to beholdthis oh-so graceful play of water, movement, color, lights & music. fortunately, we had a bench to sit on till the next performance in 15-20 minutes. then we stood on these benches to see the sights above the heads of thousands of people who came to see this modern – day marvel. -1019175137668000we took a dinner boat cruise on west lake that evening but the food, expensive as it was, was not to our liking so we went for siopao, dumplings & hot noodles at a very popular chinese diner away from all the expensive hotels and high-priced restaurants.the next day -1386840203898500took bus 187 to train station to buy train tickets.. again I was assisted by a friendly girl. one of the most excruciatingly difficult tasks for travelers in china is buying train tickets at train stations. In wuhan, my friend, xiesha simply made one phone call and presto! train tickets were delivered to her doorstep ! 378904518224500 in hangzhou I was really grateful to find a new friend who not only led me through the chaotic maze of hordes of people at ticket booths, but she also came along we with later on a Y2 bus tour around the lake. ................
