On your grid colour in all of the multiples of 2’s in one colour. In another colour can you highlight all of the multiples of 5.Can you spot a pattern? Write numbers 0-10 on individual pieces of paper. Places these in an ordered number line. Choose a number between 1 and 10 and ask your child whether it is odd or even? Repeat with numbers up to 20 (if capable).1 - Recognise odd/even numbersPut a selection of number cards up to 50 on table and large sheet of paper divided into half with ‘odd’ labelled one side and ‘even’ on the other. Ask your child to pick a number and share it. What does the number end in? Return to the rules...... ‘Odd’ numbers have 1,3,5,7 and 9 units and ‘Even’ numbers have 2,4,6,8 and 0 units.So, is it odd or even? Place the number on the paper in the correct column. Creative DevelopmentMake your own Playdough to build a house.Suggested Playdough Recipe (no cooking)You will need:2 cups of flour? cup of salt2 Tbsp Cream of Tartar2 Tbsp of oil (any oil will do - olive, vegetable, coconut oil)1 ? cups of boiling waterFood colouring of your choiceBowl Spoon Gloves (optionally). Method:Mix the flour, salt, cream of tartar and oil together in a bowl. Adult to pour a small amount of the boiling water into the mixture and stir carefully. Continue adding the boiling water until the mixture is combined together to make a dough. Take the dough out of the bowl and place on a floured surface.Knead the dough.Make a small hole in the dough and pour in the food colouring.Knead the dough until the colour has been distributed evenly amongst the dough (you may want to use gloves for this part).Using your playdough, can you design and build a dream house. If the dice landed on 3, for example you could use the cubes to help find the double. Tell your adult ‘double 3 is 6’ and repeat for other doubles.1 - Double numbers up to 10You will need some objects to help you count such as cubes or pieces of dried pasta.Ask your adult to choose a number between 1 and 10. You then need to tell your adult what double that number is.
