Before Bedford, he was Head of History and Senior Housemaster at Stowe, having started his career at Dean Close answering to the now TISCA General Secretary (aka Dean Close Deputy Head at the time). He - John that is - has matured since then. His interests are avid sports spectating (armchair and otherwise); boring people with statistics; reading: theology, political biography and P.G. Wodehouse; directing plays; and playing golf badly. During 27 years of teaching, he has worked with six Chaplains and been a member of four churches.? 00John Moule has been Warden of Radley College for six years having been Head Master of Bedford School from 2008 to 2014. This was followed by a year out doing youthwork at St Andrews’ Chorleywood and then teacher training back in Winchester. A teaching practice at King Edward’s, Southampton led to my appointment as an RE teacher in 1983, and where I stayed for 11 years. I trained for the ministry whilst teaching through Salisbury & Wells and was ordained in Peterborough in 1994. I then went straight to Oundle as Assistant Chaplain. In 1996 I stood in for a year as Acting Senior Chaplain following the death of my colleague;?having ‘served a curacy’ of sorts I then went to Benenden School as Chaplain for four years, but missing the atmosphere of a boys or mixed school then was appointed to Oakham as Senior Chaplain and remained there until my ‘first retirement’ in 2016. Testing the waters in other ministries I found myself being invited to another chaplaincy at Shrewsbury School. The following year I went part-time there and picked up another part-time chaplaincy at Prestfelde School where I am still chaplain.I am married to Non and have two children, Lucy (24) and Edward (22). Lucy works in Berlin and Edward in Oxford working with Lymington Rushmore camps. I enjoy gardening, reading, classic cars and walking and have enjoyed increasingly a role in our local church at Meole Brace.00I was born into a committed Christian family and was educated in Bristol and then at Southampton University to read Philosophy and Theology.
