Thanksgiving Break – Nov. 21-23. School resumes at 8:30 a.m. Monday, November 26.

Midterm Report Cards – will be sent home Wednesday, December 5. The report card is yours to keep.

Advent Service Permission - Permission slips for attending the 1:00 Advent services are enclosed. Only children with parental permission will be able to attend. Also, for those of you with younger children (Grades 1-4) please indicate whether you will be attending with your child. If you won’t be, please try to make arrangements for them to sit with someone during the service. Please remind your children to dress nicely for church.

Christmas Wish List –Christmas Wish Trees could appear on classroom doors as soon as the first week of December. These are Christmas trees posted on the door of each classroom. On the trees are small “ornaments” with inexpensive gift ideas for the classroom. If you would like to purchase a gift for the classroom, please remove the “ornament” listing the gift you are interested in purchasing, from the tree. Gifts can be sent to school any time.

School Helper Thank You – As a way of saying thanks to the many people that help support Messiah we are again inviting volunteers to an Open House following the Advent Service on Wednesday, December 19 (approximately 2:00). Refreshments will be provided.

Gift Exchange for Christmas Party - For those of you that like to take advantage of early sales, here is some basic information:

Students exchange gifts with classmates on the day of the school Christmas Party. Please try to keep the gifts in the range of $5-$6 as some families have several children to buy for and it could become quite an expense. If you would like to purchase a more expensive gift, you may do so with the understanding that the above price range is what your child might receive. The individual teachers will inform you through their classroom newsletters what the exchange procedure will be for their class.
