DEFINITIONS

HD (High-definition) - refers to video having resolution substantially higher than traditional television systems. HD has one or two million pixels per frame.

CIF (Common Intermediate Format) - refers to a standard video format, which is categorized based on the resolution.

SUBMITTALS

General: Submittals shall be made in accordance with the Conditions of the Contract and Submittal Procedure Section 01 30 00 - Administrative Requirements.

Manufacturer's Product Data: Manufacturer's data sheets indicating systems and components proposed for use, including instruction manuals.

Shop Drawings: Complete shop drawings including connection diagrams for interfacing equipment, list of connected equipment, and locations for major equipment components.

Record Drawings: During construction maintain record drawings indicating location of equipment and wiring. Submit an electronic version of record drawings not later than Substantial Completion of the project.

Operation and Maintenance Data: Manufacturer's operation and maintenance data, customized to the system installed. Include system and operator manuals.

Field Tests: Results of field testing of every device including date, testing personnel, retesting date (if applicable), and confirmation that every device passed field testing.

Maintenance Service Agreement: Sample copy of the manufacturer's maintenance service agreement, including cost and services for a one year period for Owner's review. Maintenance includes, but not limited to, labor and materials to repair system, tests and adjustments, and regular inspections.

Verification Samples: For each finish product specified, two samples, minimum size 6 inches (150 mm) square representing actual product, color, and patterns.

Manufacturer: Minimum ten years experience in manufacturing and maintaining video management systems. Manufacturer shall provide toll-free technical assistance and support available 24/7.

Customer service, pre-sales applications assistance, after-sales technical assistance, access to online technical support, and online training using Web conferencing.

Manufacturer shall provide 24/7 technical assistance and support by means of a toll-free telephone number at no extra charge.

Manufacturing Location: Provide equipment assembled in the United States.

Installer: Minimum two years experience installing similar systems, and acceptable to the manufacturer of the video management system.

Launch multiple times on workstation. A minimum of 4 times to display 4 viewers on 4 separate monitors per workstation.

Main Video Viewing Screen: Show 1x1, 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 1x5, 2x8, and 1x12 salvos of live or recorded video. Capable of full screen mode where only video salvo is displayed.

Each Viewer: May be associated to a monitor or workstation and assigned a unique output number that .may be selected from the viewer device tree, UltraKey controller, or system macro.

Save current salvo as a View and allow user to select saved views by drag/drop into viewer, using UltraKey controller, or system macro.

Select camera or salvo by using mouse to drag it onto main screen. Undo/redo option for camera drag/drop and salvo selection from viewer and UltraKey controller.

Switch an analog camera to analog or digital monitor so system will recognize to switch to analog matrix switch or to pull video from an encoder.

FIELD COMMISSIONING AND CERTIFICATION

Field Commissioning: Test system as recommended by manufacturer.

Conduct inspection and testing of equipment, including verification of operation with connected equipment.

Test devices. Demonstrate operational features for Owner's representative and authorities having jurisdiction, as applicable.

Correct deficiencies until satisfactory results are obtained.

Submit written copies of test results.

TRAINING

Conduct on-site system administrator and security/surveillance operator training, with number and length of sessions as recommended by manufacturer. Include administration, provisioning, configuration, operation, and diagnostics.

PROTECTION

Protect installed products until completion of project.

Touch up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
