POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION: Asset Management and Business Center Coordinator

• This is a full-time position.

• Employment is with Chattahoochee Technical College and not with an individual campus. All employees are subject to work relocation based on college needs.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Management:

• Works with Director of Accounting to ensure the business offices individual groups (accountants, purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and assets work together.)

• Trains personnel when requested by the Director of Accounting.

Asset Management:

Maintains oversight and assists with asset management to include inventory, surplus, and record keeping.

• Analyzes, reconciles, and approves accounting data and transactions;

• Adequately analyzes asset transactions on reports, as well as accounting systems and

sub-systems;

• Ensures asset inventory is completed every 2 years.

• Carefully reviews documentation, entries and reports for accuracy and completeness;

Business Center Operations:

• Trains, assigns, directs, supervises, and evaluates the work of personnel engaged in performing Business Center operational activities on multiple campuses.

• Supervises personnel in the performance of mail service, shipping/receiving, document services, document assembly and production, and bulk shredding operations; assists employees as needed.

• Oversees printing and copying services.

• Facilitates vehicle reservation process for all college campuses.

Communications:

• Generates accurate reports as needed.

• Ensures, or works with others to ensure, that pertinent policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines are implemented in an effective and timely manner.

• Keeps abreast of legislative, regulatory, management directive, organizational, or other changes or initiatives that may affect assigned area, analyzes impact, and recommends or takes necessary action to address them.

• Coordinates with vendors as required for general tasks associated with the BCO.

Administrative Support:

• Appropriately participates in developing, reviewing, revising, recommending, interpreting, and/or maintaining pertinent policies, procedures, and guidelines; ensures conformity with applicable laws, policies, procedures, etc.

• Conducts or participates in the development, review, revision, and/or implementation of policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma required and five years of experience in state accounting OR Associates degree in related field and 5 years of state accounting OR Bachelor’s degree in related field

• Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.

• Ability to be bonded.

• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

SALARY/BENEFITS

• Salary is $42,397.48 annually.

• Benefits include paid holidays, annual leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program.

• Please be aware that all Chattahoochee Technical College employees must be paid by DIRECT DEPOSIT unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on “hardship” evidence provided by the employee.
