POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT - FINANCIAL AID SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This is a full-time position. Employment is with Chattahoochee Technical College and not with an individual campus. All employees are subject to work relocation based on the college needs.

Under supervision of the Executive Director of Student Financial Services (SFS), and in close communication with the Administrative Services Unit as a whole, this position oversees, leads, and manages the overall student accounts’ department of the college (credit and non-credit) and is the initial point of contact for subordinate staff. This person must be an exemplary team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication and organization skills coupled with the ability to lead and encourage staff across all campuses of Chattahoochee Technical College. This position will delegate tasks to staff where possible while positively collaborating with all internal stakeholders, which includes departmental staff, leadership in Financial Aid, and the Executive Director to make SFS as effective and efficient as possible. This position will be primarily based at the Marietta Campus with the expectation of required travel between campuses, to trainings, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree required in a course of study related to the occupational field.

• Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with one to three years experience in Banner processing to include direct experience related to Banner Financial Aid processes (data load, packaging, disbursement, batch posting, COD, etc.

• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (in addition to the minimum qualifications)

• Experience working in a financial aid office at an institution of higher education with specific experience in running processes in Banner; i.e. ISIR data load processes, grouping, batch posting, awarding and disbursement and knowledge of SQL syntax

• Self-starter who can work closely with the Director of Financial Aid and staff to ensure processes are run timely and most efficiently for students

• Supervisory experience

SALARY/BENEFITS

Salary is $44,543.85 annually. Benefits include paid holidays, annual leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program.
