Healthier Living with Ongoing Health Conditions (6 sessions) Living with an ongoing health condition such as diabetes, COPD, or heart failure doesn't mean you have to be ruled by it. Learn to manage symptoms, fight fatigue, and make tasks easier in this sixsession class. Fee: No fee for members; $80 nonmembers Location: Oakland, Richmond

Life Care Planning In this class, we will assist you and your family members with advance care planning. We will help you share your values, wishes for future health care and goals for treatment with your health care agent. We will assist you in completing a written plan that will be shared with both your agent and your doctor. Fee: No Fee; Open to the community Locations: Oakland, Richmond, Pinole

Falls Prevention: Balance and Home Safety In this class we talk about reasons why people tend to fall more as they age, review common home and environmental hazards, provide tips on how to make homes safer, and discuss the importance of exercises to build your balance, flexibility, and strength so you can prevent falls. Fee: No Fee; Members Only Location: Oakland, Richmond, Pinole

Senior Health Seminars Stay current on senior health issues by attending educational

workshops about safety, nutrition, medications, long-term care,

physical activity, and much more.

Take Control: Cholesterol and High Blood Pressure Learn how exercise and a heart-healthy diet can lower your cholesterol and blood pressure, improve your overall health, and reduce your risk for heart attack and stroke. Fee: No Fee; Members only Location: Oakland, Richmond

Gentle Movement for Adults: The Rosen Method (7 sessions) Explore the Rosen Method in a relaxed setting. The Rosen Method includes a full range of motion activities to align your body posture and increase your flexibility. Fee: $35 members; $50 non-members Location: Oakland

Exercise for Life (4 sessions) This general exercise class will help you improve your posture, flexibility, stability, and balance while fostering self-awareness. Learn to identify your strengths and weaknesses and formulate an exercise plan for life Fee: $25; Members only Location: Richmond

Senior Support Group You can enhance your emotional health, improve your coping

skills, and thrive in a changing world. For seniors who are in their

late 60s or older.

Fee: One-half of office visit cost share; Members only.

Osteoporosis Overview Learn about osteoporosis and ways to help prevent fractures.

We'll discuss risk factors and ways to prevent further bone loss

through exercise, calcium supplements, and medication therapy.
