**IMPORTANT GPISD ID NUMBER INFORMATION**

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year in Galena Park I.S.D. We are excited to partner with you in helping to make this school year the best school year ever for your child(ren).

The purpose of this email is to provide you with [STUDENT_FNAME_POS] universal GPISD ID number. This number will be used for many purposes such as logging in to a district issued device and accessing instructional technology programs. Your child(ren) will also need this number to receive lunch in person or at any of our mobile or curbside meal sites. For meal distribution information visit:

[STUDENT_FNAME_POS] GP ID number is [cafeteria], and his/her universal password is gp followed by the student's sixdigit birthdate (gpmmddyy).

When logging in to a district device, the student only has to enter his/her username [cafeteria] and universal password. Once logged into the device, the student MUST log in to ClassLink by repeating the same login process.

If a student is using a personal device to log in to ClassLink, the ClassLink Web Version can be found under the Students tab on the GPISD website. He/she will need to enter his/her username [cafeteria] and universal password to access ClassLink.

If multiple students are using the same district issued Chromebook, after each child has completed his/her work they need to log out of the Chromebook by clicking on the time in the bottom right corner and then choose Sign Out. Once signed out, the next child can log in.

Prior to the first day of school, your child(ren) will need to join each of his/her teacher's Google Classroom or Seesaw classes. To join:

1. Log in to Skyward Family Access 2. View your child(ren)'s schedule(s) in Skyward ? look for the name of each teacher 3. Access the campus webpage

a. The joining codes can be found on each teacher's webpage 4. Log in to ClassLink 5. Click the Google Classroom or Seesaw icon, follow the prompts and join using the steps in these short videos -



For the first day of school your child(ren) will need to:

1. Log in to the district issued Chromebook or personal device 2. Go to ClassLink and access his/her Learning Management System (LMS) which is either Google Classroom or

Seesaw for more information regarding virtual meetings and class work assignments a. On a personal device, the student will log in to their GPISD Google account as well as ClassLink before accessing their LMS. To do this, click on the GPISD Google apps Portal icon in ClassLink
