The meeting was called to order by President Tom Heifort at 7:50 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at the St. Francis American Legion Club.

League Web Site
A discussion was held to review the cost and benefits for establishing a Metro Minny League web site. Jake Maros presented an estimate of about $390 to establish a Home Teams Pro Style web site that would include all teams in the League. The benefits would include the ability to update game scores and League standings, updated schedules and rosters and ability to add team unique information.
Motion by Rum River, Second by St. Francis “To Establish a Metro Minny League Pro Style web site at an approximate cost of $390 and appoint Jake Maros as the League Webmaster at an annual fee of $250. Jake Maros will provide instructions to each team for updating individual team web sites.”

Lo Gators Relocation
Motion by Blaine, Second by Forest Lake “To approve the relocation of the Coon Rapids Lo Gators to Champlin and the team will be called the Champlin Lo Gators. Also, to grandfather the 2006 Coon Rapids Lo Gators roster for players eligible for the new Champlin Lo Gator team. For clarification of radius, the Champlin baseball field will be the point of reference.”

Motion by Blaine, Second by Ham Lake “ To establish the Soderville Baseball Field at the Ham Lake City Park in Ham Lake as the 25 mile radius reference point for East Bethel, Ham Lake and Soderville.”
VOTE: Yes 10, No 0 - MOTION PASSED
Motion by Blaine, Second by Hamel “ To establish Larson Field in Cambridge as the 25 mile radius reference point for the Rum River Bandits.”

MBA Material
- Changes to the Minnesota Baseball Association Handbook were reviewed and discussed. Each team received a 2007 Handbook.
- All teams present signed the “Acknowledgement of Constitution and By-Laws of the Minnesota Baseball Association, Inc.” document. This document must accompany the registration of the League as a member of the Minnesota Baseball Association. .
- Contract and Release forms were reviewed and common mistakes in preparing these forms were discussed.
-New contracts must be completed for all players. If a player was on your 2006 Team Roster, when the new contract is prepared , check No for First Contract and indicate “ 2007 New Contract”. If No is checked and “2007 New Contract” isn’t indicated a Release form from the players prior team must accompany the Contract.
- The orginal Contract and one copy must be sent to the League Secretary for recording and approval. The original Contract is sent to the State Secretary. The State Secretary must receive the original Contract no later than two weeks from the signing date of the Contract.
- When releasing players from a roster, the original copy of the Release plus one copy must be sent to the League Secretary.
Other
Umpire Evaluation Forms
Jim Jarvis briefed the League about the requested evaluation of umpires. After a discussion it was recommended that an Evaluation Form be available on the League website. Each Manager is requested to complete this form after each game and e-mail it to Jim.
Ejections
Ejections are to be reported to a League Officer. In past years this has not happened in all cases.
Exhibition Games
Teams wanting Jim Jarvis to assign umpires for exibition games should contact him now to have an umpire scheduled.
Scorebooks
All teams must keep a scorebook during League Games and retain it for future reference.
Soderville Player
For Eric Scott to be eligible to play for Soderville or any MBA team he must appear at a Minnesota Baseball Association board of directors meeting to be come eligible.
