LaMora Psychological Associate's P.A.Summer Program: Cognitive Behavioral TherapyA short-term treatment approach to improving adaptive and coping skillsPROGRAM DESCRPTIONStarting July 9, 2018, 6-8 sessions of short-term fixed-length Cognitive Behavioral Therapy will be offered to improve patient's ability to manage anxiety, depression, and communication problems.??Patients can expect to receive psychoeducation about anxiety, depression, and communication, learn the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, set therapeutic goals and track progress, learn and practice techniques and interventions to help manage these conditions, and discharge from the program with a new set of tools to improve overall life functioning.??The program will terminate by?August 24, 2018 and sessions will last 60 minutes with a predetermined consistent appointment time. If you are in need of further psychotherapeutic intervention at close of the program, referrals can be made to other providers. Health insurance (Anthem, Cigna, Tufts, Medicare and Medicaid, ComPsych, Qualcare, Maine Health Organization) and private pay accepted. PROGRAM OUTLINESession #1: Establish therapeutic relationship, assessment of concerns and review of psychiatric symptoms causing dysfunction, identification of stressors and triggers, set initial treatment plan and goalsSession #2: Continue establishing therapeutic relationship, assessment of concerns and review psychiatric symptoms causing dysfunction, revise treatment plans and goals, orientation to the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ModelSession #3: Psychoeducation about anxiety and depression, the connection between thoughts, feelings, behaviors, how to effectively communicate thoughts and feelings verbally and nonverbally Session #4: Establishing a healthy foundation: nutrition, sleep hygiene, and work-life balance, medication compliance Session #5: Relaxation training: diaphragmatic breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, exercise, tactile and audio interventions Session #6-8: Review effectiveness of CBT, interpersonal effectiveness skills, using a thought journal, identify how patient can maintain changes, terminate treatment Anthony A.
