Pastors: If you have not yet been in touch with DRA Chris McLaughlin regarding having started your statistical reports, please do so ASAP. Once you have accessed the Ezra website and have printed out your tables (or have started working on them in whatever way works best for you), please send a brief email to Chris at swdistrict@. Just sending the words “I’m in” is enough. New! For those of you who are almost done, please remember that after you enter the data in your tables, you must go to the black headline and click Submit. Then click on Submit Church Stats. When that page opens, you must click the Submit button. Your data have not been submitted unless you do all of these things. New! Basic Training for Worship Planters,?February 12?(4:30 pm - 9 pm) and 13 (8:30 am - 5:00 pm) at Boehm's UMC, 13 W Boehm’s Road, Willow Street. Are you called to create a new worship service for new people? Or, are you considering a new service and just want to know what goes into a successful launch?? This two-day training led by church planting coaches Jim and Kim Griffith will teach you about identifying people, gathering them together, and planning compelling worship services that move people from guest to committed disciple. Fund Balance Reports and Leadership Lists (which were sent to the church gmail accounts) are to be submitted to the District Office by January 31, 2016. Remember: NEVER use the street address when mailing to the District Office – your mail will not be delivered to us if it is not sent to the PO Box.Reminder! Episcopal Nominations Deadline is February 1. As the 2016 Northeastern Jurisdictional Conference delegation of the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference continues its work, one of the great responsibilities of the delegation is to identify the individual or individuals who will represent the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference as candidate(s) for the Episcopacy. The Eastern PA General and Jurisdictional delegates request interested clergy and lay members to submit up to two names of persons the Conference may consider as Episcopal nominees. For complete information and a nominations form (plus the address for where to send it), please consult the Conference webpage. Reminder! Nominations Being Taken for Annual Conference Positions. This is the year the Conference Nominating Committee must find the best leadership to serve this conference for the next four years. Between now and February 1, 2016, the Eastern PA Annual Conference will accept Interest Forms from all persons in every district throughout the Conference who are interested in serving on a Conference Committee, Board or Ministry — laity and clergy. The EPC Nominations Committee will review and evaluate the Interest Forms and submit a slate of nominees (new chairpersons and members) to the 2016 Annual Conference. The Annual Conference will elect the leadership team for the 2016-2020 Quadrennium in June 2016. The newly elected conference leaders will begin their four-year term of service on July 1, 2016. February 8, Bishop’s Lenten Day Apart for All Clergy, Aldersgate UMC, 2313 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE. Keynote Speaker and Worship Service Preacher: Bishop Young Jin Cho, Virginia Annual Conference (click here for bio). Register now to attend the Eastern PA Conference’s 4th Annual Faith-Sharing Seminar on March 19, from 9 am to 3 pm, New Hanover UMC, 2211 Swamp Pike, Gilbertsville, PA 19525. The pre-registration deadline is March 3, and the cost is only $10 per person, which pays for materials & meals. Onsite registration and breakfast begins at 8:30 AM, followed by the seminar, with lunch provided at noon. Register online or by mail. Full payment is due with registration.
