Guidelines for Funding Requests to the

Community Service Committee of the Savage Rotary Club

The Savage Rotary Club has established a Community Service Committee to review funding requests from community-based charitable organizations. Please review the general requirements and exclusions before completing the Funding Request Application.

General Requirements:

Established, non-profit organization - preferably 501(c)(3) status

Ongoing programs or projects with a specific purpose

Programs or projects receiving other private funding

Projects that serve the residents of the City of Savage, its surrounding townships,

Scott County and Minnesota

Projects that have a lasting impact

Projects that improve academics, community and environmental health,

or provide assistance to disadvantaged groups

Exclusions from funding:

For-profit groups or organizations

Individuals

Religious organizations or activities

Political organizations or activities

Ticket purchases

Projects outside our service area

Has this organization supported our club in any ways in the past? If so, please elaborate.

Is your organization willing to help our club with future events such as Prior Lake Polar Plunge, Park Beatification initiatives, Wine Tasting Event during Dan Patch Days help, etc? If so, please list the areas where your group would be willing to help out if needed. Check our website for additional ideas.

Will the Savage Rotary Club receive any recognition from your organization if this funding request is approved? If yes, please describe.

Our Savage Rotary Club meets on Thursdays from 12 noon to 1:15 p.m.. Will your representative attend a Rotary meeting to accept any funding that is approved?

Submit a cover letter and a brochure describing your organization and enclose a copy of your 501 (c) (3) nonprofit determination letter and program budget of income and expenses. Please add any additional information that is pertinent to this request.

Thank you for your request. You will be contacted by the Community Service Chairperson from the Savage Rotary Club with a funding determination after review by the Community Service Committee and review by the Savage Rotary Board of Directors.

This process may take up to 90 days.
