1. Cub (CUB)CUB is the class for male or female archers 0 to 11 years old. Equipment shall consistof a compound, recurve, or longbow shot with no restriction on sights, stabilizers, orstyle of release.2. Youth Ages (Male and Female) 12-17 12-17 is for archers 12 to 17 years old. Equipment shall consist of a compound,recurve, or longbow shot with no restriction on sights, stabilizers, or style of release.3. Hunter Class (Male and Female)A compound, recurve, or longbow shot with or without sights. A sight shall have fixed pins,cross hair, or circle style pins without lens or magnification. If circle style pins are used, allcircles must be the same size. A sight may have a rear aperture (i.e., peep sight or fixed rifletype sight). Sights may not be adjustedafter entering the shooting course. Arrows must have screw-in points and at least three (3)feathers or vanes no less than two (2) inches long (measured minimum 1.75 inches). Onlyone stabilizer or stabilizer system having a single point of attachment may be used. Thestabilizer can be any shape or configuration as long as it is contained within a theoreticalsphere having a radius of 12 inches measured from the point of attachment. AdditionalV-bars, counter balances, or weighted attachments are prohibited. (For the purposes of thisrule, any device adding length or weight to the stabilizer shall be considered part of thestabilizer and shall be subject to the 12-inch rule.) Un-weighted vibration dampeners are notconsidered to be stabilizers; however, un-weighted vibration dampeners attached to the stabilizer are measured as a part of the stabilizer and are subject to the 12-inch rule above.Equipment in this class may be shot with finger tab, shooting glove or release. HC archersshoot from the yellow stake. Vibration dampeners are not considered to be stabilizers; however, unweighted vibration dampeners attached to the stabilizer are measured as a part of the stabilizer and are subject to the 12-inch rule above. Equipment in this class may be shot with finger tab, shooting glove or release. 4. Men’s Masters Class MSR is an optional class for archers 50 years of age or older. Equipment shall consist of acompound, recurve, or longbow shot with no restrictions on sights, stabilizers, or style ofrelease. TRADITIONAL CLASSES (Male and Female)5. Recurve A recurve or longbow shot with fingers directly contacting the bowstring using a glove,finger tab, or bare fingers. No sighting device of any kind may be used. A rest and plungerare all that may reside within the sight window of the bow. A limb mounted draw check orclicker may be used. There shall be NO markings on the bow or bowstring (intentional oraccidental) that could be construed as sighting marks. All arrows shall be of the samematerial and be of uniform length and weight. String walking and face walking arepermitted in the RU class. A stabilizer measuring 12” or less may be used in Recurve UnAidedClass.6. Longbow A one (1) or two (2) piece longbow shot with fingers directly contacting the bowstringusing a glove, finger tab, or bare fingers, Archers may use up to two (2) nock locatingdevices, but they must use the same nocking point and anchor point for each shot and theindex finger must contact the string in the same place for each shot. The index finger musttouch the nock of the arrow. Face and/or string walking are not permitted. No sightingdevice of any kind may be used. There shall be no markings on the bow or bowstring(intentional or accidental) that could be construed as sighting marks. No type of draw checkor clicker may be used. Arrows shall be made of wood and shall be identical in length,weight, and color (allowances shall be made for normal wear). Arrows shall be shot off thehand or shelf of the riser. LB archers will shoot from the white stake. A longbow shot in LB shall conform to the following specifications:1. The bowstring, when the bow is strung, may only contact the nocks of the bow.2. No stabilizers, counterbalances, or weights of any kind may be attached or built intothe bow; except a bow quiver clearly designed to hold arrows. 7. Modern Bowhunter (Male and Female)A compound, recurve, or longbow shot with or without sights. Sight may be fixed or adjustable, cross hair, or circle style pins without magnification. Stabilization rules are the same as bowhunter class. Arrows must have screw in points and at least 3 fletching measuring 1.75” 8. Freestyle Class (Male and Female)A compound, recurve, or longbow shot with or without sights. A sight shall have fixed pins,cross hair, or circle style pins without lens or magnification. If circle style pins are used, allcircles must be the same size. A sight may have a rear aperture (i.e., peep sight or fixed rifletype sight). Sights may not be adjusted after entering the shooting course. Equipment in this class may be shot with finger tab, shooting glove or release. There is no restriction on stabilizers. Arrows may have screw or glue-in points. 9. Open Class (Male and Female)A compound, recurve, or longbow shot with no restriction on sights, stabilizers, or style ofrelease. 10. Open Pro (Male and Female)A compound, recurve, or longbow shot with no restriction on sights, stabilizers, or style ofrelease. 11. Pro Masters - is an optional class for archers fifty (50) years of age or older. Equipment shall consistof a compound, recurve, or longbow shot with no restriction on sights, stabilizers, or styleof release. VI. RULE VIOLATIONS AND PROTESTSA. Rule Violations1. Any person in violation of the above rules may be disqualified from the event in whichthey are participating.
