New Enhancements for Customers Paying By Credit Card

Beginning tomorrow, all of our customers will have new options and, for our residential customers, reduced fees, when paying their Eversource bill by credit card. These enhancements are a result of our transition to a onecompany process for credit card processing using Western Union. In addition to streamlining our processes and providing a consistent experience for customers across our service territory, this transition will provide many direct customer benefits including:

Reduced convenience fees for residential customers The addition of American Express and Discover cards as accepted payment methods (new for customers in

Connecticut, western Massachusetts and New Hampshire) The option of scheduling future dated payments (new for customers in eastern Massachusetts)

While our Customer Group and IT teams work to implement this important transition, a brief upload period (credit card outage) from 11:59 p.m. tonight to 8 a.m. tomorrow will be needed, after which credit card processing will resume. A web and IVR message will welcome customers to return to make their payment at that time. Consolidating our credit card processing is one initiative within the Customer Experience by Design project to deliver an enhanced customer experience for all customers.

Setting Up a Safe Work Zone

Establishing efficient and safe work zones is critical to ensuring your safety and will help the safe, smooth flow of traffic in and out of the work zone. If you have questions about setting up a safe work zone that adheres to our company's safety procedures, please speak to your supervisor. Here are some general reminders:

Advance warning area: With signs, motorists are informed of what to expect. Transition area: Traffic is moved to a new travel path with a roadway taper. Traffic cones are traditionally

used to help redirect traffic. It is the area where many accidents do occur. Activity area: The area where work is being done. Sometimes, buffer space is created to keep traffic away

from the work area. Equipment, vehicles and material should not be stored in buffer space. Termination area: Return traffic to its normal path with the End Utility Work signs closing the work zone.

Even with a well-set up work zone, we need to be alert, be visible with our reflective clothing and communicate with each other. Remember, Safety First and Always.
