There are four classifications of goods and services. The following describes each:
Industrial Goods
Businesses use industrial goods to create new products or to help with business operations. They can be raw, processed or finished.
Consumer Goods
These are the products you and I use. They are non-industrial and are sold in retail stores to the general public.
Industrial Services
Tasks performed by others to fill a need of an industry. Paid for by a business.
Consumer Services
Tasks performed by others to fill a need of a consumer. Paid for by a person.
