PPE USE WITH CLOSE CONTACTS:

Patients reporting as close contacts (known exposure to COVID+ person >15 minutes within 6 feet) place in Airborne Contact Precautions. DO NOT admit to COVID Unit.

This algorithm should be initiated upon "rooming" or entering the patient's room.

* Gown and gloves are required when adequate distance cannot be maintained AND during the implementation of an aerosol-generating procedure.
