Course Requirements:
This is an introductory level English Conversation class. We will be using the text, Smart Choice 1, to guide our discussions and develop skills. The best way to learn how to communicate in spoken English is through practice. This will happen in class. It is essential that you attend class everyday and arrive on time. Your grades will be heavily weighted on classroom attendance and in class participation. You will be expected to speak English in class and in small group discussions.
Expectations:
You are expected to come to class prepared. I require every student to have their own unused textbook, paper and writing utensil for every class. You are expected to take notes, ask and answer questions and pay attention during class. Please refrain from using your cell phones in class unless specifically instructed to do so.
Grades:
Participation /Homework/Quiz 20%
Final Exam 70%
Attendance 10%
