Answer the questions below in the blue boxes. Use for your research. Use TextEdit (Mac OS) or NotePad (Win) to create the HTML and CSS documents. You can discuss the tasks with other students, but complete document yourself.
How can you integrate CSS into an HTML document? (Mention 3 methods/styles – see CSS section on )

Describe each of the 3 styles and give a code example. You can directly copy the code from the site.

Which style is the most useful? Give an explanation.

Create an HTML document with an internal CSS style sheet that specifies: a green background colour, a white (h1) heading in the font style Gill Sans Ultra Bold
and a paragraph in white Helvetica.
Text for Heading:
On Helvetica
Text for paragraph:
What’s more fascinating is how a font can reflect ideology, as Helvetica did during its heyday in the 1960s and 70s. Corporations and municipal planners began
using it because it was “a clean, simple, unfussy font.” Its simplicity helped it to stand out in a visual world that was becoming cluttered with a variety of
signs and placards using many kinds of typefaces, particularly in the New York subway system. It became popular because the right companies began using it to
set themselves apart at a time when there was also an interest in Swiss design. Its simplicity created a visual break with the kind of type used normally, type
that was connected to history. Helvetica, then, was considered a font free of decoration, a font that represented “objectivity or neutrality….that…wouldn’t
suggest the historic past or even cultural things.” Helvetica reflects an ideology of modernity, of a “stripped down…..machine aesthetic” embraced by tech
companies and architects.
