Target Audience Cosmetic Symposium - Plastic Surgeons, Facial Plastic Surgeons, Otolaryngologists, Oculoplastic Surgeons, Dermatologists, Residents, Non-Physician Providers (Registered Nurses, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and Aestheticians) working in the office of a Board-Certified physician in the above specialties

Statement of Need To teach physicians and residents how to achieve safe and reproducible aesthetic results and highlight the latest techniques and advances in cosmetic surgery including face, breast and body contouring procedures. Attendees will become familiar with the latest techniques and advances in cosmetic surgery. The focus will be on controversies and advances in facial, breast and body contouring procedures including the use of fat for augmenting the face, breast and buttock. A live demonstration of the use of injectables, including new products on the market, will allow for a broad overview of products, facial analysis, and techniques. A cadaver course will be available to highlight the surgical techniques described.

Learning Outcome To update training as necessary to learn how to implement safe practices into new and emerging techniques and technologies.

Educational Objectives: After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

Describe advanced techniques utilizing Botulinum Toxin Type A and soft tissue fillers for facial enhancement Integrate new implant options for breast augmentation and breast shaping using new breast lift techniques Discuss the use of fat grafting to enhance the face, breast and buttock Apply a "hands on" tool to practice the techniques discussed in a cadaver model Identify new technology and patient safety in lasers, IPL, vaginal rejuvenation, noninvasive fat removal, skin

tightening, cellulite, dermal fillers and advances in skin care. Identify and assess current and emerging therapies and their role in successful patients consultations Prepare combination treatments for improved patient satisfaction Identify

Distinguish appropriate practice management techniques for a successful medical practice and improved patient-clinician communication.

Discuss treatment options within a realistic framework of potential outcomes, and patient expectations
