Dr. Bellavance maintains memberships with the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology. She also serves on committees in the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology to keep up-to-date on the latest innovations and research in breast cancer. Her clinical interests include nipple-sparing mastectomy, breast conservation surgery, prophylactic breast surgery, and the use of oncoplastic techniques to maximize cosmetic outcomes. She has completed certification in hidden scar surgery. Dr. Bellavance is involved in a variety of research and National Cooperative Group trials that she can make available to her patients on a case-by-case basis.
