ENG4UW Written Assignment –Part 1: Works in TranslationYou have already completed much of the process work for the written assignment, including the following for each of the Part I works:Interactive oralReflective StatementSupervised WritingA rough draft of an essay (in the 3UW exam?)Next Step:Now you will write or polish an analytical, literary essay on one of the Part 1 works. The essay topic is one that you generate and develop from one of the supervised writing assignments done in class. The final draft of your written assignment (essay plus reflective statement) is evaluated externally by IB and is worth 25% of your overall score for the course. You will conference with your teacher as you develop a working thesis.Additional details: Work submitted: Literary essay 1,200–1,500 words (assessed) on ONE work from part 1, plus relevant reflective statement 300–400 words (assessed) If the word limit is exceeded, the assessment of the reflective statement will be based on the first 400 words and the assessment of the essay on the first 1,500 words.Your topic MUST be based on one of your pieces of supervised writing.
