Twin's Birthday Benefits Children's Room At The Library

Recently, twin preschoolers, Emma and Sara Mangol, celebrated their fifth birthday with a "Willy Wonka Movie Party." But this was a party with a special "giving" twist: in lieu of gifts, the guests were asked to make a small donation to the Glen Ridge Public Library. Like so many little ones in town, the twins have enjoyed spending time in the Children's Reading Room since they were babies, visiting it at least twice each week. So the thought of taking the $620 collected to the Library after their party was an added fillip to their special day.

Parents of the invitees were equally thrilled by the donation idea. "What a great idea," enthused one, "a party with a message."

Travel Through Our Pages

Taking a trip? Traveling vicariously? The Women's Club has recently donated a wide array of new books to augment and update the Library's "travel section." So whether you are planning to journey near or far - by ship, plane, train, car or armchair - there is a book available to help make your dream trip a reality.
