UPDATE FACULTY SCREEN NAVIGATION

Login to AICTE Web Portal with Institute login Credentials. Click on `Faculty Update' Icon available on home page as shown in below Screen shot.

You will be navigated to below page

Click on `Faculty List' OR `Faculty Information' section. In `Faculty List' section all the Faculties present in Institute are shown in read-only format.

Faculty can be queried with Faculty Unique ID / First Name / Last Name / PAN etc in this section. Any details pertaining to selected faculty can be edited through `Faculty Information' section.

NEW FACULTY RECORD CREATION

Click on button to create a new faculty record. Add values for all the mandatory fields. Enter Valid PAN Number corresponding to the Faculty. First Name and Last Name of the faculty must be same as provided to PAN Database. Click on Save button to save the record successfully. If any error displayed, correct the data accordingly and again save the record. Faculty with PAN Status as `Valid PAN' and Record Status as `Valid Record' will only be taken

into consideration. If you get blank PAN Status and/or Record Status, then remove PAN No entered, Leave the

field, re-enter PAN number and click on Save button to get the status. PAN entered should be Unique and non-duplicate. If any other faculty of same/different

Institute bares the same PAN number (Including Left Faculty) then the PAN number will not be accepted.

FACULTY UPDATE AND INSERT THROUGH BULK IMPORT

You can also Update Existing Faculties OR Insert New Faculties through Bulk Import Excel Facility.

Go to `Faculty Information' tab. Click on `Faculty Download' button to Download entire faculty data.

Faculty.xlsm will get downloaded from separate window as below. You may find it at `Downloads'.

Follow the below Instructions and fill the excel file.

Instructions:

After downloading the excel sheet you can update/insert faculty details as follows: Do not forget to enable macros once you download the excel sheet. Do not make any modification/deletion of Rows or Columns in generated Faculty.csv file as this will lead to FAILURE of Faculty Import process.

To update the existing faculty

- Fill in the details for existing faculty - Fields marked red are mandatory - After filling the faculty details click on validate button - If you get the message "Data Validation Done Successfully" then click "Ok" which will open another prompt window to save the file as .CSV format. The file will be saved in 'Documents' folder, then Go to Siebel Partner Portal -> Faculty Update Screen -> Faculty Import (For Bulk Uploading) tab. - Attach above .csv saved file to File Import Applet, Save it and then Click ImportExcel Button. - Under the Faculty Details List Applet click on Update Faculty - Wait till you get the pop up message "File Import is completed." - Open your Faculty.csv excel sheet to see the error log for individual records

To add a new faculty

- Leave the Faculty ID column blank - Fill the remaining details of the new faculty - Fields marked red are mandatory - After filling the faculty details click on validate button - If you get the message "Data Validation Done Successfully" then click "Ok" which will open another prompt window to save the file as .CSV format. The file will be saved in 'Documents' folder, then Go to Siebel Partner Portal -> Faculty Update Screen -> Faculty Import (For Bulk Uploading) tab.. - Attach above .csv saved file to File Import Applet, Save it and then Click ImportExcel Button. - Under the Faculty Details List Applet click on Update Faculty - Wait till you get the pop up message "File Import is completed." - Open your Faculty.csv excel sheet to see the error log for individual records * Please do not leave any rows blank before last record in excel as it may not lead to Update/insertion of record * Before updating in siebel always validate for errors, If any. * Close the excel sheet Before updating/inserting the details.

All the existing faculty records will be downloaded in excel file. Click on `Enable Editing', `Enable Content' AND/OR `Enable Macro' buttons that will be

visible in excel at top. You may edit details of Existing Faculties and can also add New Faculty Records. Faculty Unique Id, PAN Status and Record Status will be read-only for all the records. Faculty Unique Id, PAN Status and Record Status will read-only and blank for New Faculty

Records.

Do not Update FIRST NAME, LAST NAME and PAN number for the records with status `Valid PAN' and `Valid Record' as it will lead to reduced valid faculty count for your institute application.

If you alter PAN number for `Valid PAN' and `Valid Record' status record in excel, then post import PAN will not get altered to New PAN for such records. Also, if you alter First Name/Last Name for these records, then it will get updated post Import and record status will become `Invalid Record'.

Please note that only `Valid PAN' and `Valid Record' status records will only be considered for Deficiency or any Faculty Related calculations.

Enter value for all the mandatory fields. If you find below popup while selecting `Department' or `Course', then just click on `End'

button and move ahead.

Once done with Data Modification / entry, Click on `Validate' button in excel. It will give you error message if there is any Data Entry error. Pleases find below examples:

Once Data Correction is Done, again click on `Validate button'. 8
