The seven repeat sites include: Kearney Hill Golf Links in Lexington, Ky.; ArborLinks in Nebraska City, Neb.; Genoa (Nev.) Lakes Golf Club & Resort; Eisenhower Golf Club in Colorado Springs, Colo.; Penn State University in State College, Pa.; Westbrook Country Club in Mansfield, Ohio; and the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex in West Lafayette, Ind. The PGA Junior Series will return to Genoa Lakes Golf Club & Resort for the first time since 2002.

The two new sites include: Mirimichi in Millington, Tenn., and Onion Creek Club in Austin, Texas.

The 2013 PGA Junior Series opens at Mirimichi, May 29-31, and concludes July 22-24, at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind.

Potential entrants can apply online at beginning in February.

“Junior golfers from across the country will get a chance to play some terrific venues during the 2013 PGA Junior Series, as well as have a chance to qualify for the Junior PGA Championship, the summer’s premier junior championship,” said PGA of America President Ted Bishop.

All nine PGA Junior Series events will serve as Junior PGA Championship qualifiers, with the 16-18 boys’ division winner and the overall girls’ champion earning a spot in the prestigious Championship.

Each event will feature 54-hole (three-day) competitions, in addition to The PGA’s 72-hole flagship junior event, the 38th Junior PGA Championship presented by Under Armour and Hotel Fitness.

The 2013 Junior PGA Championship will be contested, July 30–Aug. 2, for the first time in the state of Virginia, at Trump National Golf Club – Washington, D.C., in Potomac Falls.

Nationally recognized by both Golfweek and the Junior Golf Scoreboard, the PGA Junior Series debuted in the summer of 1996. The program has attracted boys and girls representing all 50 states, the District of Columbia, 24 countries/territories and six continents.

Each series event will feature a field of up 156 players. The event fields are based on playing ability and are not first-come, first-served. Each event also includes boys’ and girls’ divisions, with approximately one-half of the field consisting of competitors residing within the host PGA Section of the competition.
