BUSINESS LAW CURRENT EVENT GUIDELINES
ONE DUE EACH THURSDAY – PRESENTED ON FRIDAY
Find a Current Event having to do with law from any newspaper, magazine, or online equivalent. For each of your current events you should provide the following information: (Staple a copy of the article to your current event)
1. Source of the Article – Name of the Newspaper (magazine, etc), page number (URL), & date
2. Title of the Article
3. Summary of the Article – At least 2 paragraphs (min 5 sentences per paragraph) telling me who is involved, what happened, overall issue (legal problem), where it took place, etc.
4. Your Opinion – At least 1 paragraph stating what type of case it was (Civil vs. Criminal), what was the outcome (if the case has been settled) & do you agree with the outcome? Why/Why not? or what do you think the outcome should be (if case still in progress)? Why/Why not?
5. Questions – Write two open ended questions that you can ask to the class when you lead them through discussion of your article.
