What’s Going On?Current Events AssignmentPart of being a productive member of society is knowing what is happening in the world around you.? Every week you will complete a current events assignment. Each assignment is worth a writing grade. Instructions1. Choose a newspaper article about something that’s happening anywhere in the world. You may cut an article out of a newspaper, or print an article from a news website. I have listed a few kid-friendly websites below. If you don’t have access to a newspaper or the Internet, please see me. You can also use our in class magazines such as Time for Kids to complete your assignment. -subjects/currentevents/for/kids---. Read the article highlighting or underlining important?information, such as the who, what, where, when, why and how.3. On a sheet of lined paper or typed you will be writing at least three paragraphs. (If you do not have lined paper at home, you may take a sheet from school.) Your paper must have:-a proper heading?-title of article-type of article (International-out of America, National-in America, Local, Sports, Entertainment, Health, etc.)?-publication (where you found the article).?Look at the example below to see the set up of the paper.*For the first paragraph, write a summary of the article you read. Your summary should be at least 7 sentences.
