3D Embroidery: The design is converted to a digitized file for embroidery. The 3D portions of the design are separated and the 3D portion is embroidered over an expandable foam to give it a 3D effect.

Genuine Leather: The design is etched into the leather via a laser and is then cut out of the material in the shape desired.

Stitch & Dye Sub: The design is separated from what is embroidery and what is dye sublimation. The sublimation patch is assembled and the sublimation design is applied. The embroidery is then sewn over the top of the sublimation.

FAQ

Q: How is the 3D or Dye Sub part decided? A: On your PO you must note exactly which portions should be 3D or DyeSub in comparison to the rest of the design.

Q: Can PMS colors be matched? A: Yes, but not for leather as that is only etched.

Q: Can I see a mockup? A: Yes! Every FlexStyle order comes with a free PDF/JPG mockup to show you how the design will look once printed. These mockups can be delayed a bit due to the setup process.

Q: How are the patches applied? A: There are two different application processes that can be used. 3M: Which is a sticky type adhesive back that acts as a sticker and can be applied to hard goods or; Heat Transferable: Which is a glue type backing which is activated by heat and applied to the garment.

GENERAL INFORMATION

DESCRIPTION Designs are laser etched into the leather to enhance your hats, bags, and jackets. In this process the leather is burned with the laser and gets permanently engraved. As with genuine leather products, shades of leather can vary. EMBLEM SIZE LIMITS Min - 0.5" X 0.5" (+/-1mm) Max - 4" X 5" (+/-1mm) Approximately 1.5mm thick (may vary). LEATHER COLOR 2 Leather colors available: Caramel & Taupe. MINIMUM TEXT SIZE Smallest character should be at least 1mm in height. BACKING ?Low Melt Heat Seal ?Industrial Heat Seal ?Pressure Sensitive

LIMITATIONS Low Melt: Since the product is applied with heat, it is not recommended for use on materials that may be heat sensitive (ex. some nylons, silk some plastics, leather, wool, fleece, etc.). The product is intended to be used on hats, bags and jackets that are not intended for regular home washing. Pressure-Sensitive: The use of these emblems on surfaces that may contain an oil finish, such as silicon, TeflonTM, rough fabrics, or outdoor goods is not recommended. ELECTRONIC PROOF A digital sample via email is available in 48 hours. Edits are allowed. PRODUCTION TIME An additional 5 business days is needed to produce these items.
