In 1954, Ernie Thompson and Floyd Snider of the Tacoma #8 Rotary club contacted two men from Lakewood, Charlie Peterson and Bob Bernnard, and requested that they start putting some names together for a new Rotary club. Clearly not ones to move quickly, especially Charlie, it took two years to put together a list of 23 names. ................
