1 SCOPE

1.1 OBJECTIVE

1.1.1

This Statement of Work (SOW) defines the work to be performed by the Contractor which will provide six (6) complete Surface Off-board Passive Decoy systems to be fitted on Halifax-class ships and six (6) sets of ancillary components of the Surface Off-board Passive Decoy systems to be fitted-for-but-not-with on the remaining Halifax-class ships. This work will require the Contractor to manufacture, deliver, test and trial, train, and support the Surface Off-board Passive Decoy systems for the Halifax-class.

1.2 BACKGROUND

1.2.1

In support of national operational commitments, Department of National Defence (DND) has a requirement to acquire Surface Off-board Passive Decoy capability for the Halifaxclass ships. DND plans to fit six (6) Halifax-class ships with complete Surface Off-board Passive Decoy systems and the remaining six (6) Halifax-class ships with fitted-for-butnot-with Surface Off-board Passive Decoy capability.

1.2.2

For the purpose of this SOW, a Surface Off-board Passive Decoy system is defined as an integrated set of components designed and built to provide decoy capability against AntiShip Missile threats. The components of a Surface Off-board Decoy system must include, but is not limited to:

1.2.2.4 Equipment necessary for remote control capability

1.2.2.5 Mounting assembly

1.2.3 Furthermore, the ancillary components of a Surface Off-board Decoy system are defined as all components of a Surface Off-board Passive Decoy system, other than Decoy and Decoy Launcher.
