All employees are required to comply with relevant safety procedures/guidelines and equal opportunity principles at all times.Role StatementThis position is responsible for providing consultancy on business improvement opportunities, monitoring and delivering operational reporting across Finance and Business Services, and proposing and developing business solutions to meet the changing needs of the Department of Communities. Duties and Responsibilities1.ANALYSIS, MONITORING AND REPORTING1.1.Monitor and analyse performance across Finance and Business Services to identify positive or negative trends to inform continuous improvement or intervention strategies.1.2.Analyse performance reporting to proactively highlight a mismatch of resources to customer needs.1.3.Monitor reports to help inform anecdotal advice on client needs across Finance and Business Services.1.4.Prepare reports identifying key findings and causal factors that have resulted in performance trends.1.5.Coordinates the development of business cases (change documentation) for consideration by the key stakeholders.1.6.Coordinates and undertakes comprehensive business analysis and research to provide the necessary data, trends and future activity that will impact on the development of business cases and implementation planning.2.BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT2.1.Consult with Managers and actively participate in the business improvement process for Finance and Business Services.2.2.Analyse and advise on performance across Finance and Business Services to help inform the Business Solutions and Issues Management functions on where resources could be better targeted.MUNICATION3.municates with all areas of the Department on the key findings of performance analysis and participates in discussions on areas for potential improvement.3.2.Maintains effective working arrangements with Finance and Business Services staff and all business areas of the Department. 3.3.Ensures adequate and ongoing support, including training and change management.3.4.Develops user guides and system training methods as required.4.OTHER4.1.Applies equal opportunity, Occupational Health and Safety, and ethical principles and practices in all aspects of this role.4.2.Performs other duties as directed.Essential Work-Related Requirements (Selection Criteria)1.Proven communication and interpersonal skills together with the ability to liaise with others at all levels.2.Ability to lead and work effectively in a team to deliver quality outcomes.3.Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.4.Good organisational and prioritising skills together with the capacity to utilise initiative in a demanding environment. 5.Demonstrated ability to analyse and define business requirements including process redesign.6.Understanding of current technologies and the ability to incorporate them with business development solutions.7.Working knowledge and capability in data analysis and business analyst techniques.
