center-971550002179320-838200Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),In preparation for the Florida Standards Assessment (FSA) which will be administered this spring, our school is once again implementing the i-Ready reading program. All students will be responsible for completing assignments in i-Ready as the program will help prepare them for the kinds of texts and questions they will encounter on the FSA.Students must log into the i-Ready reading program through their student portal at . Your child will be responsible for completing two lessons EACH week. One session will be completed in class, and the second is to be completed on their own time. This means at the end of each nine-weeks, your child should have eighteen (18) new sessions. Since the program is geared towards your child’s specific needs, the amount of time your child will spend on each lesson will vary. The average time on each lesson is approximately 30 minutes. Twice during the grading period your child will be given a formal grade in the grade book for participation and successful completion of these assignments. Deadlines for assignment completion will be set by your child’s individual teacher. Please encourage your child to log in to i-Ready through their student portal and complete these assignments weekly to help prepare them for the FSA this coming April.Thank you,SMMCS Department of Language Arts 3295650187325Because we use the i-Ready program and the Wordly Wise program, your child will always have home learning in the subject of language arts.400000Because we use the i-Ready program and the Wordly Wise program, your child will always have home learning in the subject of language arts. ................
