Position Description

Title: SEBTC Project Coordinator

Purpose: This position serves as the SEBTC (Summer EBT for Children) project coordinator for the Michigan WIC program and will be responsible for the coordination of all daily duties related to the SEBTC Program. This position will work on various SEBTC related program projects and provides support for MI-SEBTC data support as assigned. This position performs a variety of complex MI-SEBTC related activities and works directly with the Michigan SEBTC Director to coordinate program activities and system development needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare grant proposal and project budget following Federal and State guidelines and processes

• Analyze project requirements and review with State and third party contractor staff, day to day oversight of third party software developers including all system releases and UAT.

• Establish critical project related timelines.

• Maintain project schedules and deliverable timeframes.

• Ensure system development tasks and activities are on schedule and provide a weekly status report to Program Director for the SEBTC program.

• Support user acceptance testing in the various application areas of MI-SEBTC.

• Coordinate website and materials review and development.

• Coordinate and communicate all data, system and benefit delivery related activities with SEBTC Director.

• Implement food package requirements based on Federal and State guidelines.

• Act as the primary technical liaison for the State of Michigan in program development tasks and activities.

• Review and update program training materials for participants and retailers.

• Review established helpline procedures with third party contractor.

• Troubleshoot system and program related issues identified by the helpline to determine appropriate resolution.

• Troubleshoot client issues and escalate for resolution as appropriate.

• Prepare materials, data and information to assist, USDA, State and local staff.

• Other duties as assigned by SEBTC Director

Qualifications/Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in science, computer science, management

Master’s Degree preferred

Experience: 1-3 years business analyst experience. Experience generating and analyzing reports. Business and project management experience

Important Skills and Characteristics:

• Analytical thinking and logical deduction skills

• Experience in Grant writing including budget and timeline development

• Excellent oral and written communication and ability to work as a member of a team

• Knowledge of systems and computer software, use of a computer, general understanding of data processing and health programs similar to WIC is highly recommended.

• Knowledge and experience in project management skills is highly recommended.

• Ability to work with partners of the Michigan SEBTC program and USDA.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

• Standard office environment with general office duties

Lead Worker: Lead workers act as project leaders predominantly and/or coordinate the work activities of others.

IMPACT ON PROJECTS, SERVICES AND OPERATIONS

This position will work with Federal, State, and Local staff to increase project effectiveness and ensure system performance. This position will be the recognized subject matter expert on MI-SEBTC data submission, reporting, and distribution to stakeholders. This position is responsible for day to day oversight of third party IT contractors and will coordinate all system releases including UAT. Oversight and resolution of system and benefit delivery issues is also required.
