Spiritual Transformation

Transformation means change and conversion. Who can bring change in our lives? It is Christ alone. But through others also, Christ can bring changes in our lives like our parents, friends, companions, seminars, retreats, books, certain events, bible and other inspirational books etc. But it is God who speaks to us. We must allow ourselves to be touched by the grace of God. Transformation can take place only when we commit ourselves to the cause of Jesus.

Spirituality is life in the Spirit. It is a personal relationship with God the Father, Jesus and with the Holy Spirit. It is Trinitarian. The God is a God who loved us first. Spirituality is responding to the love of God. When we come together for prayer, meditation and adoration what do we do? We thank the Lord for loving us. We try to respond to his love. If we come to the church and make our personal prayer with this love experience, praying moments become joyful moments.

Spiritual transformation means transcending our little world and possessing the qualities of Jesus Christ. Spiritual transformation means slowly we start possessing the qualities and attitudes of Jesus in our life. Let us allow God's Holy Spirit to possess us. Spiritual transformation takes place only in Christ. We need to open ourselves and be receptive. May God give you the strength to resist evil forces! Be spiritually transformed to witness Christ.

MISSION

"Being the living example of God's love to others"

VISION

"Our Parish is a sacred home in which our highest dreams and aspirations are nourished by the `Eucharist and our actions are guided by God's word, for His disciples to grow in holiness." "We joyfully share our life in Christ, with everyone in our Parish, with all those actively seeking Our Lord's love, enlightenment and forgiveness and with the larger community in which we live." This sacred home is inspired by the Holy Spirit and His constant presence is alive, welcoming, relevant, reverent and prayerful."

VALUES

Catholic Spirituality: The formation of each disciple to grow in the love of God and neighbor by imitating Christ and being guided constantly by the Holy Spirit.

Respect: Treating others and one's self, in ways that embrace each person's intrinsic worth and enhance each person's self-esteem.

Compassion: Recognizing the suffering of others and acting in ways as Jesus would to ease that suffering.

Accountability: God's gift of free will to each of us means that we are responsible for our actions, decisions and their consequences.

Stewardship: Being grateful to God and sharing one's God-given gifts of time, talent and treasure with our parish and the needy.

Hospitality: Everyone should feel at ease in our presence. When we serve others we are serving Christ, so we dedicate ourselves to the friendly and gracious reception and treatment of visitors, strangers and the needy.

St. Vincent de Paul

In today's Gospel Jesus tells us: "I want you to observe that this poor widow contributed more than all the others who donated to the treasury. They gave from their surplus wealth, but she gave from her want, all that she had to live on." Ask yourself "Am I only giving from my surplus wealth?" Thank you for your generous support of our clients who are our neighbors and children of God. Through your gifts we are able to help those who are suffering so that they will be able to know God's love for them.

S H C P

will be having their Annual Spaghetti Western Dinner

on Saturday, January 29, 2022. We are currently looking for various committee members to help organize and make this fundraiser a great success. If you are interested in being a part of this committee,

please email: jwagner@ and plan to attend our first meeting at Lone Spur Cafe at 9:00am on Saturday, November 13th.

Thank you, Sacred Heart Parishioners for your overwhelming generosity in supporting the baby shower given

by Walking With Moms In Need.

Know that the money, cards and gifts for St. Vincent De Paul and Life Connections

are very much appreciated and will help many grateful women.
