The daily schedule below is an optional/draft for students to follow during the distance learning period to provide “structured” time to complete academic work and other activities throughout the day. This is only a recommendation. Please feel free to adjust/vary as you see fit – remember this is a start and flexible.Suggestions as you make your schedule:Sit with your parent(s)/guardian(s) and come to an agreement on a schedule that works for youPost the schedule somewhere visible to all (not saved in computer) – this ensures you stay on track Be as detailed as possible – try to schedule out as much as you canConsider including the following activities on your schedule:Time you will get up each morning (you should set an alarm and get up at a consistent time during the week)Time to get ready in the morning (it’s important to follow a normal morning routine)Time to eat breakfast, lunch, dinnerTime to set the stage for the day (10-15 minutes)—think about using this time to organize your materials and check emailTime for distance learning (plan for 30 minutes per class)Mid-morning breakMid-afternoon break“Brain Breaks” – approximately 5-10 minutes eachTime to wrap up school work for the day (10-15 minutes)—think about using this time to organize your materials and neatly put them away for the dayExerciseTime for family, friends, relaxation, and hobbies/activitiesTime you will go to bed (this should be a consistent time during the week)Distance Learning Space – Find a quiet & comfortable space without distraction for you to complete schoolworkBe flexible – there may be days when the time it takes for one class will be shorter or longer than the schedule you created – this is OK!
