There is a clear record of William Moore’s marriage to Margaret Patton (daughter of Benjamin), in 1784. They also had six children. Their youngest son Charles married Margaret Penland, b.1789, in 1811 -- just prior to his service as a Captain in the war of 1812. From this marriage of Charles (the second was to Lucinda Killian), there were two children: William Hamilton Moore, b. 1812, and Rachel Evaline, born 1814. ...
