Students may request longer/shorter lessons based on experience level. These requests will be considered on an individual basis.

Travel Charges:

If there is more than one student per household, only one travel charge will be assessed. (Lessons must be taught consecutively.)

Books:

The student is responsible for the cost of books. Upon request, the teacher may purchase books for the student and be reimbursed along with the student's next payment.

Discount $2.50 $2.50

We understand the financial burden of paying for multiple students' piano lessons. For this reason, we will discount one student's lesson fees by $2.50 if there are 2 or more students from the same household. We want to reward students after 5 years of work with a $2.50 discount on each lesson. These discounts can be combined.

Payment Information:

Payment for lessons, books, and travel charges is due at the first lesson of each month. An invoice will be sent via email at least one week prior to the payment due date. (Paper invoices can be given by request.) Payments can be made via cash, check, or money order. Checks should be made out to Notable Sounds. If you are unable to pay the full amount by the due date, please contact us in advance so that arrangements can be made.

Lesson Cancellation:

To cancel a scheduled lesson, please give notice at least 24 hours in advance to ensure a refund of your fees or a make-up lesson. Lesson fees and travel charges for lessons cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time will only be refunded under the following circumstances:

I. Death in the Family II. Student Illness III. Family Emergencies Students are allowed only one cancellation per month. Lesson fees and travel charges will not be refunded for multiple cancellations, and make-up lessons will be given solely at the teacher's discretion.

Make-up Lessons:

If the teacher is unable to give a scheduled lesson, a make-up lesson will be provided within one week. If the student is unable to attend a scheduled lesson, we will make every effort to provide a make-up lesson if proper notice is given.

Tardiness:

Lessons will start on their scheduled time. If a student is tardy, the time will not be made up. Tardiness in excess of 10 minutes will result in a cancelled lesson. The lesson fees and travel charges will not be refunded, and there will be no make-up lesson scheduled.

Lesson Requirements:

Students should bring the following items to every lesson: books they are currently working out of, completed practice logs, and a pencil. Students should come to each lesson with all of the week's assignments completed and be ready to discuss what they are working on.

Code of Conduct:

Students are to refrain from using inappropriate or disrespectful language and/or behavior during lessons. The first offense will result in a verbal warning. The second offense will result in a written warning, and a conference may be required. The third offense will result in automatic withdrawal from lessons with Notable Sounds. Additional lesson fees and travel charges will not be refunded.

Withdrawal From Lessons:

Notification of withdrawal from lessons must be given at least one month in advance to ensure you are not charged for extra lessons.
