Annual Girls Summit to register young ladies and educate about the 19th amendment.

February 2020
Reviving the Dead Ladies Play(RDL)
Martha Redmond and Kelly Sheridan to meet with David Buttons of Clear Space
about their assistance in the production of RDL on Oct. 8, 11AM.
Donna Marbry to contact Camp Rehoboth about producing the play.
Marty Johnson is considering putting on the play for AAUW. Martha Redmond
has sent her the script.
MARCH 2020
Patti Grimes from the Freeman Stage has secured Del Tech on March 3rd to show the film
Iron Jawed Angels. She is investigating license to show the movie. LWVSCDE will
partner with them.
Film Festivale at Cinema Art theater to show one film a week on Wednesday for 3 weeks
about the Suffragists and womens equality issues. Movies to consider, The Black Suffragists,
The Womens Hour, Maiden, Suffragette. We are to have reception at the theater prior to the
first movie with champagne and sweets. This will be a fundraiser. Carol Jones to contact
Cinema Art Theater about films and cost to show them. We will ask Marti Austin to
do the sweets.
Womens March on the Circle for International Womens Day, Freeman Foundation
organizer.
April 2020
Book Club The Women's Hour. Martha Redmond to notify Lewes Library to reserve
the books and reserve a discussion room at the Lewes Library in April. Martha Redmond
to develop discussion questions.
MAY 2020
Seneca Falls weekend bus trip May 1-3. Restaurant dinner price needs to be confirmed
in order to confirm trip price, approx. $450 includes 2 nights lodging, transportation,
2 breakfasts, 1 dinner, admission to museum and tour. Once cost is confirmed we start
to sign up attendees.

AUGUST 2020
Mary Folan from VIA awaiting approval to hold parade on Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk.
VIA to make sashes and sell for $3. Martha Redmond to contact Rain Tyler to help
VIA set up an eventbrite for this event. Sussex Tech Marching Band to lead parade.
Cape Henlopen Band on bandstand and Camp Rehoboth to sing. To contact Carley
Loyd to talk.
September 2020
September 26, 12 noon dedication of Suffrage memorial in Dover followed by a
parade on Legislative Mall and Old State House Green per Jack Young.
Jackie Griffin new chair of DE State 19th Amendment Celebration Committee.
Reenactment of the War of the Roses, which was the debate over the passage of the 19th
Amendment in Dover. No date as of yet per Jack Young. To have website with all
dates on it in Oct. 2019.
October 2020
Bus Trip to The Turning Point Suffrage Memorial organized by Kelly Sheridan,
Fund for Women. The ground breaking for the memorial will be 11/14/19.
The dedication will be August 26th 2020. Deadline to be on the donor wall is
February 2020 with a $1000 donation.
PROJECTS
Penny Diener to gather wish list of children 's books on the 19th amendment
from Lewes Library. She will then ask for grant money or develop fund raiser
to buy the books to donate to area libraries.
Carol Jones requested budgets for projects so that she can apply for grant money
to fund projects from Freeman Stage or other institutions issuing grants.
Kelly Sheridan has obtained a mock up of Logo for use with the LWVSCDE 19th
amendment activities. She is to add a yellow rose and LWV logo as well as make the
yellow more bold.
Library Table top display developed by Marge Lafond and Joan Flaherty about the
Suffrage movement for Rehoboth Library. Consider asking other Libraries if they
would display it as well.
Nov. 2020- March in “Return Day Parade” with Suffragists sashes.
Nov- Dec. 2020 Traveling Exhibit “Rightfully Hers”, Nat. Archives, Freeman Stage
